What is the One Point Challenge?
A single-elimination bracket where every match is one rally. Two teams of two players, one point, done. The winner advances, the loser is out, or flows into the second-chance bracket. No sets, no games, no tiebreaks, just racket on ball and go.
Why clubs pick it
- High energy from start to finish, no three-set grinds.
- Fits in 60 – 90 minutes, ideal for after-work or social nights.
- Doesn't affect ratings, so everyone dares to join in.
- Pairs perfectly with an Americano: social first, OPCT as the finale.
How Rallyo runs the One Point Challenge
From draw to champion screen, everything runs on autopilot so you can watch instead of organise.
Automatic bracket draw
Rallyo draws the bracket for you: by rating, random, or manual. Seeding, byes and wiring are handled cleanly for 8, 16 or 32 players.
Live winner picker
Players tap the winner on their phone and the bracket advances in realtime. No paper, no recounting, no arguments.
Second-chance bracket
Optional: round-1 losers flow into a second bracket. Everyone plays at least twice, no one sits on the bench five minutes in.
Champion screen with confetti
The moment the final is decided, a Champion screen lands on the clubhouse TV. Includes the second-chance bracket winner.

One Point Challenge FAQ
- How many players do I need for a One Point Challenge?
- Best with 8, 16 or 32 players (teams of 2), so the bracket lands cleanly. With other counts Rallyo adds byes in round 1 automatically.
- How long does an evening take?
- Plan for 60 to 90 minutes. A 16-team bracket runs in about an hour, with the second-chance bracket added around 90 minutes.
- What exactly is the second-chance bracket?
- A secondary bracket where round-1 losers go. Everyone plays at least twice and there's always something on the line.
- Does One Point Challenge affect ratings?
- No. One rally is too random to feed into ratings, so matches don't count. That makes it low-stakes for beginners and relaxed for competitive players.
- Is this really free for my club?
- Yes. Rallyo is free for clubs, including One Point Challenge, brackets, live scores, ratings and every other format. No subscription, no event limit.
- Does it work for padel, tennis and pickleball?
- Yes, all three. One rally translates perfectly to any racket sport.
